A Time to Change |
|
Accolades for Saviance |
|
|
Change should always be welcome since ‘Change is the only constant’. And the Saviance Technologies team has always thrived on change which in turn has made the company progress by leaps and bounds since it inception. Thus, the formal dress code and the recording of in-time and out-time by employees themselves in SConnect are small steps towards making our company more professional and organized in the longer run. The employees of a company are its chief assets and it is their contributions towards making their company more successful and proficient that helps to bring about positive change within the organization. Dressing formally will promote a sense of professionalism within every employee not only towards the company but also towards his/her responsibilities at work. Additionally, having to record the in and out time will make all of us more aware about punctuality and its benefits towards achieving our professional goals. So let’s conform to these changes and help transform our company into a global force to be reckoned with. |

It is also interesting to note that BPTP is one of the prestigiou clients of our Web Development Team.
The interior decorators have already commenced their work with the agenda of creating a wonderful environ to work within. The most plausible time for shifting into the new office would be the end of this year. Once there, the employees will be able to benefit from broadband connectivity, wi-fi connectivity, ATMs, restaurants and a beautiful open area for revitalizing during breaks. What is Strategy: Learning from Harvard Business School |
|
|
‘There is surely nothing quite as useless as doing with great efficiency, that what should not be done at all’, said Peter Drucker, the father of modern management. And this just goes on to proves the futility of any endeavor which is not based on any Strategy. Strategy is about:
-having a unique point of difference
-not being the same as others
-asymmetry
-imperfect competition
-deliberately being different in a way that matters to customers
-being at the heart of competitive advantage
-about adding value
-choosing not what to do
-creating a fit among company's activities and doing things well
Strategic positioning means performing different activities from rivals' or performing similar activities in different ways. Think about your company’s products and services and how this applies because a company can outperform rivals only if it can establish a difference that it can preserve. However, strategic positionings are often not obvious and finding them requires creativity and insight.
Moreover, strategic positions should have a horizon of a decade or more, not just of a single planning cycle. Another important point to note is that within most well-established companies there is a core of uniqueness which is one of the main ingredients of their success.
So go ahead, ask yourself this hard question:
‘What is the value which would be lost to the world if your firm/company disappeared?
[More on how to accomplish Strategic Positioning in the next issue]
